Greg Mix has been a Registered Architect in Georgia since 1982. He is registered with the NCARB and therefore has reciprocity to practice in all fifty states. He has been practicing continuously in the southeast since 1978 and has over thirty-four years experience in commercial and, custom residential design. He has been the principle of his own firm, Greg Mix & Associates Architects Inc. A.I.A. since 1987. He has been a member of the American Institute of Architects (A.I.A.) Atlanta Chapter, for over twenty years. His experience includes commercial, multi-family, mixed use, offices, banks, retail stores, shopping centers, custom homes, additions and renovations.

Greg's design career began in the early 1970's. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati, Department of Architecture in 1978. His interest in designing homes began during his college career, culminating with his senior thesis on the design of a custom residence based on the psychological needs of the family.

After graduating , he performed his apprenticeship with several architectural and engineering firms throughout the country. During this time he managed such projects as six Circuit City Stores, various shopping centers and the Highland Country Club in Highlands, North Carolina, to name just a few. Greg became a registered architect in 1982 and in 1987 began his own architectural firm specializing in commercial projects, custom homes and renovations. During his career he has designed hundreds of custom homes for both builders and homeowners in prestigious subdivisions in the Atlanta area such as River Club, Sugarloaf, Sweet Bottom Plantation, and Country Club of the South.

Greg's versatility in design has materialized into homes across the nation, From North Georgia to Steamboat Colorado.

Through his extensive travels of Europe and the United States, Greg has gained an appreciation of European and Traditional American styles which he incorporates into his designs. Among these is that a design must not only be aesthetically pleasing on the outside, but must function both physically and psychologically on the inside as well. The personalized services he provides to his clients result in beautiful homes that accommodate the needs and lifestyle's of his clients.
